NILES — For those missing the movie experience of Wonderland Cinema, the owners will host an outdoor movie showing this Friday.
Wonderland Cinema will be offering concessions to-go and at its walk-up window in Riverfront Park before the movie begins.
The original showing the Disney/Pixar film “The Incredibles” planned for June 26 was canceled due to inclement weather and standing water. The movie was rescheduled to Friday.
From 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, drive-thru concessions will be available for those wanting to enjoy their snacks on the road or at home, while the park-side walk-up window will be open for concessions from 4 to 9:30 p.m. After the concession window closes, the movie will begin.
Moviegoers are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to make themselves comfortable in the park prior to the movie beginning at dusk.
According to Scott Moore, co-owner of Wonderland Cinema, there is a rain date in place for Sunday.
“We’re looking at another movie for the following Friday, but we haven’t made a decision on what that will be yet,” Moore said.
