NILES — The Niles District Library reopened to the public on Monday. The library has a list of reopening guidelines to help keep visitors safe during the return. Some of the guidelines include no more than 30 patrons in the building, keeping groups to a limited size, giving patrons a timer allowing 30 minutes to be in the library, wearing face masks at all times and practicing social distancing, keeping six feet apart.
Above right, Ann McOmber, of Niles, is the youth services assistant at the Niles District Library. McOmber said that she is a people person and enjoys being back at the library after having to take three months off.
During her time at home she cleaned and baked. She also helps out at the children’s department at the library and made virtual cooking videos and taught the junior garden club, which gave her something to look forward to while at home. (Leader photos/EMILY SOBECKI)
