LA GRANGE TOWNSHIP — An Indiana resident is in the hospital following a motorcycle accident in La Grange Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Richard Behnke reported that his office was called to a single vehicle crash on at 12:18 p.m. Saturday on M-62 near Beeson Street in La Grange Township.
Initial investigation shows that Gary Lee Stuckman, 50, of Millersburg, Indiana, was driving north on M-62 when he drove too close to the edge of the roadway, hit a patch of gravel and lost control of his motorcycle.
Stuckman was transported via Medflight to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for injuries sustained in the crash. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in this investigation, according to deputies.
Deputies were assisted in scene by Pokagon Tribal Police Department, Cass Central Fire Department, Medflight and Pride Care Ambulance.
