Helping Hands of Cass County prepares to reopen

CASSOPOLIS — A local nonprofit store will reopen next week, following Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Thursday announcement that retail stores could open by appointment.

Helping Hands of Cass County in Cassopolis will reopen at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The first hour and a half will be reserved for senior citizens ages 65 and older. Social distancing and facemasks will be required in the store.

The store is required to open by appointment only. Those looking to shop should call (269) 445-8104. Shopping hours will be divided into the following blocks:

Block 1: (9:30 to 11 a.m.) Senior citizens

Block 2: (11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.) Limited to 10 people

Block 3: (12:30 to 1:30 p.m.) Limited to 10 people

Block 4: (1:45 PM – 2:45 PM) Limited to 10 people

Block 5: (3 to 4 p.m.) Limited to 10 people
