Berrien County reports one new COVID-19 death

SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN — Southwest Michigan has lost another life to COVID-19.

Wednesday, Berrien County reported one new COVID-19 death, bringing the county’s death count to 34. The victim was a man in his 50s with underlying medical conditions.

As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, Berrien County reported a total of 552 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 191 presumed positive COVID-19 cases and 345 recoveries.

Across county lines, Cass County reported 66 cases of the virus, two related deaths and 23 recoveries. Van Buren Count reported 116 cases, six deaths and 32 recoveries.

Statewide, Michigan has seen to date 53,009 cases, 5,060 deaths and 28,234 recoveries.
