Berrien, Van Buren counties report additional COVID-19 deaths

SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN — Monday, Berrien and Van Buren counties reported additional COVID-19 deaths.

According to the Berrien County Health Department, Monday’s death was a man over the age of 85, who had been hospitalized with multiple underlying conditions. Information about the age, gender and health status of Van Buren County’s additional death was not available as of press time.

To date, Berrien County has reported 528 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 30 deaths. The county has also reported 312 recoveries.

Van Buren County has reported 115 cases, six deaths and 32 recoveries to date.

Across county lines, Cass County reported 60 and two deaths Monday.

Statewide, Michigan has seen 51,915 confirmed cases of COVID-19 to date. The state has also reported 4,915 deaths and 28,234 recoveries.
