Frances ‘Fran’ Arelene Kidwell, 92, of Niles, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020, in Hanson Hospice.

Fran was born on Aug. 8, 1927, in New Philadelphia, Ohio to the late Birgous F. and Mary R. (Meese) Quillin.

On Oct. 12, 1947, she married Eugene Kidwell, who passed away in 1995. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Helen Phillips, Pearl Reberg, Eugene Quillin, Vera Trottier, Paul Quillin, Glenn Quillin, Jerry Quillin, Emma Saberg, Birgous Quillin, Ruth Bellar and Herbart Quillin.

Fran is survived by children, Diana (Gary) Grishaber, Jim (Sandy) Kidwell, twin sons, Rick (Shari) Kidwell and Mick (Vicki) Kidwell, Sue (Dru) Downing, all of Niles; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Edna Sheldon, of Denver, Colorado, and many nieces and nephews.

Fran worked in Food Service for the Niles Community Schools for 23 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Niles. She enjoyed bowling, playing Yahtzee and cooking.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25 for the immediate family. The funeral service can be viewed online at facebook.com/halbritterwickensfuneralservices.
