NILES — Pursuant to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s “Stay at Home” order, the Ferry Street Resource Center will be closed until further notice, said officials.

If a resident needs assistance, they can still call the center at (269) 687-7712 and follow the instructions given in the answering message.

“We remain concerned for our clients who need the resources and assistance we provide and have not made this decision lightly,” said Ric Pawloski, executive director. “We have set up our phone systems to allow our clients to leave messages for either our Director of Services, Arqullia Lewis or myself and receive them via email. We will then contact them as soon as possible and assess the situation. We will make every attempt to assist over the phone. If it is an emergency and we determine that we must see them personally, we will set up an appointment to assist them.”

“At FSRC we recognize that needs are going to be increasing as people are getting laid off and losing their employment and we feel we must be there for them in any way we can,” Pawloski said. “We continue to hope and pray this does not last too long.”
