DOWAGIAC — In an effort to provide a safe place for business transactions and its employees, the city of Dowagiac is limiting the number of people in the lobby at city hall.

Beginning March 20, the city will start limiting how many people enter the lobby to maintain recommended social distancing under current COVID-19 protocol.

Residents can still access the Dowagiac Police Department and the Dowagiac Schools Administration Offices from the back door or east entrance of city hall, city officials said.

All city services are still available and accessible 24/7 on the city’s website, Cityof Dowagiac.com.

Payments can be made in the drop box at the front of city hall, online, or by phone at (833) 610-5716 and a menu of the most common services will be posted at the door and how to access them, officials said.

If residents still need more information, they can call or press the doorbell, officials said.

Officials said residents can visit CityofDowagiac.com and /DowagiacMichigan on Facebook for more updates.
