Tillman Goble, 85, of Eau Claire, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at his home, with his loving wife and daughters by his side.

Tillman was born on July 27, 1934, in Mondamin, Iowa to the late Garland and Viola (Chamberlain) Goble.

Tillman was drafted into the U.S. Army, serving from 1960 to 1962, and then served in the U.S. Navy reserve until 1982.

On July 17, 1954, he wed the former Shirley Reed in Knox, Indiana at her uncle’s home. They recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. To that union, six children were born.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Gary; grandsons, Stacey and Tillman Goble; and great-grandson, Zeke Hayes.

Tillman is survived by his wife, Shirley Goble, of Eau Claire; children Dennis (Lynnette) Goble, of Avondale, Arizona, Dena (Matt) Kaag of Peoria, Illinois, Duane (Judy) Goble, of Savannah, Georgia, Donna (Tom) Snyder Jr., of Hartford, Michigan, Danette Lovelace, of Dowagiac, Denise (Keith) Fenech, of Dowagiac; 15 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Benjamin (Joyce) Goble, Leonard (Kay) Goble, Henry (Kathy) Goble; and a sister, Garlene (Ervin) Bolt.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at Brown Funeral Home in Niles, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Tillman will be laid to rest at Mission Hills Memorial Garden.
