NILES — Connor Janowiak, a Brandywine High School senior, received a $1,000 scholarship last Thursday by Zolman’s Best One Tire & Auto Care’s Mishawaka branch, 2014 E. McKinley Ave.

The Student Citizenship Award was given to 11 high school seniors in Berrien and Cass counties in Michigan and Elkhart and St. Joseph counties in Indiana.

Auto center owner Nate Zolman said he had to expand the scholarship’s awards from six to 11 students because of the merit so many applicants had.
