George Arlen Bolock

George was an Edwardsburg High School graduate, Class of 1958, and went on to serve four years in the U.S. Air Force and travel Japan. After the Air Force, he worked for more than 30 years at Uniroyal in Mishawaka.

George served as president of the Uniroyal Union, Local Chapter #65, as well as having a position in management during his time at Uniroyal.

George loved stock car races and was a driver at times. He also went to the Indy 500 Race every year, until recently, when he could no longer make the trip. His other favorite past times were fishing and boating.

When it came to sports teams, The University of Michigan had a faithful and true fan with George. He had many hats and shirts to support his team on a daily basis.

Relatives include three brothers, Steve (Jan) Bolock, of Syracuse, Indiana, Jerry (Dawn) Bolock, of Edwardsburg, Cort (Pam) Bolock, of Niles; two sisters, Michelle (Tim Kunigonis) McHenry, of Niles, and Elizabeth Mahoney (deceased). He has three children, Tim Hope, of South Bend, Indiana, Tammy (Hope) Onderdonk, of Mishawaka, Indiana, Lee Clark, of Niles, and a step-son, James Clark, of Niles. He also has one grandson, Nova Onderdonk, of Mishawaka, now serving in the Navy.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
