Louis “Tony” Grooms passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2020, in Buchanan.

He is survived by his wife, Josie Grooms, and their two loving sons, Levi and Aaron Grooms; his mother, Diane Isek; and brother, Scott Gutierrez.

Tony was a surgical tech at Pawating/Lakeland Hospital in Niles for 25 years. He had a passion for coaching baseball through the FOP in Niles. The smiles of the kids’ face brought joy to heart — that made his smile brighter than the sun.

Tony’s final words: “Please don’t cry. Just because we have to part, as long as you remember me, I will forever live in your hearts.”
