PHOTO STORY: Brandywine High School celebrates 2020 homecoming

NILES — Brandywine High School celebrated its homecoming with a pep assembly and crowning ceremony of its 2020 royalty last Friday. Later that night, at the boys and girls varsity basketball games, the homecoming queen was announced.
The 2020 homecoming royalty took to the basketball court at the halftime of the boys’ varsity game against Bridgman. Freshmen Sam Douglas and Ella Harner represented the freshman class. Sophomores Chase Valade and Karla Avina Rios joined the group, along with juniors Caleb Byrd and Tyla Young. Connor Janowiak was crowned senior king. At halftime, seven Brandywine senior girls were escorted to the court, all in the running for queen. Senior Megan Schmidt, a member of the girls basketball varsity team, was crowned Brandywine’s 2020 homecoming queen.
