Janowiak makes Dream Team

NILES — Conner Janowiak, who helped lead Brandywine to back-to-back playoff appearances, has been selected by the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association for its Academic All-State Dream Team.
Janowiak is one of 23 players selected for the squad, which was announced recently.
Brandywine’s Steven Kendall Jr., and Buchanan’s Aidan Kile, were named first-team Academic All-State for Division 5-6.
The Bobcats and Bucks were also Academic All-State in Division 5 as a team.
Cassopolis’ Owen Gardner was selected first-team Academic All-State in Division 7-8.
Bridgman’s John Davis earned first-team Academic All-State in the 8-man Division level.
Edwardsburg and Niles earned honorable mention Academic All-State as teams in Division 3, while Berrien Springs was honorable mention Academic All-State as a team in Division 5.
Brandywine’s Ty Mickiewicz earned honorable mention from the coaches in Division 6.
Cassopolis’ Gage Collins was a first-team selection at linebacker in Division 8.
Bridgman’s Donnie Necas was a first-team selection in Division 1 of the 8-man All-State team.
