SOUTH HAVEN — The offensive woes of the Dowagiac girls basketball team continued Tuesday night.

The visiting Chieftains were held to four points or less in each of the four quarters of their 40-15 Wolverine Conference non-divisional loss to South Haven.

The game was close, 6-4, in favor of the Rams after one quarter, but South Haven outscored Dowagiac 34-11 the remaining three quarters to pull away to the easy victory.

“Tonight, we played a much better first half, but could not continue it into the second half,” said Dowagiac coach Jason Turner. “We have to work on transferring the things we are working on in practice into the game. I told the girls tonight that the games should be fun. We need to stop putting so much pressure on ourselves. We work hard in practice and prepare so we need to enjoy the game and have confidence that we are prepared.”

Allie Conner led Dowagiac with four points.
