Cole Weller is a sophomore on the Dowagiac basketball team.
What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?
CW: Getting all-state in soccer.
What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?
CW: Losing in regionals.
Who is a “hero” in your life and why?
CW: My mom, because she does anything for me.
When are you the most nervous while you are competing?
CW: When it is a big game.
Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.
CW: Tripping over myself.
How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?
CW: Run and do other things.
What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?
CW: No other.
Why are sports an important part of a high school experience?
CW: Because you can build friendships and bonds.
How would you give away $50,000?
CW: To charity.
If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?
CW: The Cleveland Cavaliers.
If I did not play sports, I would…?
CW: Probably do nothing.
What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?
CW: Win a state championship.
If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?
CW: No traveling.
What is the best compliment you have ever received?
CW: That I’m a great player.
What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?
CW: Playing defense in a regional game for soccer.
What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?
CW: Dunked on someone.
What is your favorite hobby? Why?
CW: I like to cook, because it is fun for me.
