The basic tenets of the Christian religion and many of the other major religions of the world are based on love, peace and truth. Over time, I feel that these beliefs have been bastardized by humans who are not in agreement with their present religion while attempting to gain a following.

How else can we explain the election of representatives who want to ban abortions but do not think there is anything wrong with sending our young men and women all over the world to kill and be killed? They support the death penalty even though a percentage of those on death row are later found innocent.

Is it love or hate that lies behind decisions made in these different scenarios?
