Regular-season winning streak wins 25 games

CASSOPOLIS — The Cassopolis Rangers blanked Marcellus 40-0 to wrap up its second consecutive winning season Friday night.
The Southwest 10 Conference victory also ran the Rangers’ regular-season winning streak to 25 straight contests. Cassopolis last lost a regular-season game on Oct. 13, 2017, when it was defeated by Mendon 34-24.
In a tune-up for the postseason, the Rangers worked on their passing game with quarterback Cerious Wilson. Wilson was 9-of-14 for 205 yards and three touchdowns. He threw touchdown passes of 45, 32 and 33 yards to Ky’ante Buck, Kasimir Buck and J.J. Hart, respectively.
Cassopolis also ran for 233 yards to finish the night with 428 yards of total offense.
Hart ran for 86 yards on 13 carries and scored touchdowns on runs of 30 and four yards. He also caught three passes for 58 yards and a 33-yard touchdown.
Daishean Jamison added 84 yards on six carries and a 47-yard touchdown run.
The Rangers limited the Wildcats to just 111 yards of total offense.
Gage Collins had 12 tackles, while Alec Dahlgren had 11 tackles, including a sack.
Ky’ante Buck and Kendon Williams both finished with eight stops.
