Paw Paw rallies to edge Dowagiac 4-2

DOWAGIAC — Matt Mosier and Cristian Wilson gave host Dowagiac a 2-0 lead in its Wolverine Conference and regular-season finale Wednesday night.
That lead was not nearly good enough as Paw Paw scored four straight goals to earn the 4-2 soccer victory.
Mosier scored in the 16th minute and Wilson followed in the 19th minute.
Paw Paw cut the lead to 2-1 by halftime on a goal by 10.
In the final 40 minutes, 9 had a pair of goals after 4 had tied the match at 2-2 in the 44th minute.
Paw Paw outshot Dowagiac 7-3. Alejandro Martinez had four saves for the Chieftains, who open up Division 3 district play by hosting Brandywine on Wednesday.
Edwardsburg soccer
EDWARDSBURG — Host Edwardsburg capped its 2019 Wolverine Conference season with a 3-1 win over Sturgis Wednesday night.
Alex Carfi, Aaron Toms and Anthony Castelucci all scored goals for the Eddies. Silas Krueger had the assist on the Carfi goal.
Brandywine soccer
BRIDGMAN — Visiting Brandywine and Bridgman were deadlocked at 1-1 at halftime, but the Bobcats could not keep the Bees off the scoreboard in the second half.
As a result, Brandywine dropped a 2-1 decision to Bridgman in BCS Athletic Conference action Wednesday.
Andrew Schadler scored the lone goal for the Bobcats, who face host Dowagiac their the Division 3 district soccer opener on Wednesday.
