OTSEGO — The Dowagiac cross country team has not run a lot of meets this season. The Chieftains have selected certain races to compete in.

For senior standout Shawn Little, that means he has had to make the most of his opportunities against some of the strongest competition on the east side of Michigan.

On Saturday, Dowagiac faced another strong field at the Bulldog Invitational hosted by Otsego.

Little finished fourth overall with a time of 15:55. It was on the very same course he set the school record two years ago with a 15:58.

The Chieftains finished 17th out of 20 schools. Host Otsego was the overall winner.
