Rangers improve to 4-0 with Bangor rout

BANGOR — Mason Polomcak rushed for 135 yards and scored three touchdowns as visiting Cassopolis blanked Bangor 59-0 in Southwest 10 Conference play last Friday night.
Polomcak scored on an eight-yard run, a 10-yard pass reception from Cerious Wilson and a 73-yard kickoff return.
The Rangers (4-0) scored 45 points in the first quarter and never looked back as they finished the night with 165 yards of total offense as they played mainly on a short field.
The Cassopolis defense also got into the action as Matthew Anderson recorded a safety, as did the combination of Malik Jamison and Nick Zimmerman.
J.J. Hart scored a pair of touchdowns on a 21-yard fumble return and a 45-yard run. Owen Gardner added a 38-yard touchdown run. Alec Dahlgren had a 14-yard touchdown run, and Daishean Jamison caught a 20-yard pass from Wilson for the Rangers’ other touchdown.
Bangor was held to negative 42 yards of total offense, including minus 53 yards rushing. The Vikings also had a pair of fumbles.
The Rangers have won 20 out of 21 games since joining the Southwest 10 Conference. Cassopolis also had a 14-game regular season winning streak.
Cassopolis will travel to Decatur for a key Southwest 10 Conference contest Friday night.
Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
