EAU CLAIRE — The Dowagiac golf team tuned up for Thursday’s Wolverine Conference jamboree at Sauganash in Three Rivers by hosting Michigan Lutheran in a non-conference meet Wednesday.
Being a non-conference match, Dowagiac coach Bob Turner was able to get all eight of his players on the course. The Titans only had five players.
Of his regular players, sophomore Calley Ruff cracked 50 for the first time in her career as she had a pair of birdies and shot 48.
“We had three players in the 40s,” Turner said. “Calley had two birdies, so she is coming along nice.”

Josie Vandermarkt led the Titans with a 51.
The Chieftains took a one-point lead over Sturgis into Thursday’s jamboree. Play was scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
