PENN TOWNSHIP — The Illinois man injured after falling off a dock on Donnell Wake June 8 has succumbed to his injuries, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.

Parrish Sawnson, 50, of Aurora, Illinois, was accidentally pushed off the dock and into the lake while playing with his sons on the dock.

His sons brought him back to shore and CPR was initiated before Swanson was taken by Life Care Ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital.

There is no foul play or suspicious intent suspected in this incident, and the investigation has been closed as an accidental death.
