Six candidates to interview for the new superintendent of Dowagiac Union Schools

DOWAGIAC — The Dowagiac Union Schools Board of Education has narrowed its search for a new superintendent to six candidates, who will be interviewed next week. The chosen candidate will replace resigning superintendent Paul Hartsig.
Interviews will be hosted beginning at 6 p.m. next Tuesday and Wednesday in the district administration building, 243 S. Front St, Dowagiac. Community members, district staff and interested parties are encouraged to attend both evenings of interviews, said district staff.
Candidates are set to interview at the following times:
Tuesday, June 11
• 6 to 6:50 p.m. — Kelly Eckhardt, high school principal at Fennville Public Schools
• 7 to 7:50 p.m. — Gwendolyn Dangerfield, elementary school principal at Wyoming Public Schools
• 8 to 8:50 p.m. — Patricia Robinson, curriculum and instruction director, Benton Harbor Area Schools
Wednesday, June 12
• 6 to 6:50 p.m. — Greg Blomgren, high school principal at St. Joseph Public Schools
• 7 to 7:50 p.m. — Kelly Millin, high school principal at Dowagiac Union High School
• 8 to 8:50 p.m. — Jonathon Whan, superintendent at Grant Public Schools
