Brandon S. McIntyre, 29, of Dowagiac, died unexpectedly on May 31, 2019.

Brandon was born April 23, 1990, in Kalamazoo, the loving son of John and Heidi (Birmann) McIntyre.

A graduate of Portage Central High School, Brandon was known for his love of Lion’s football, date nights at the K-Wings games with Shyann, and his extensive shoe collection.

Nothing though compared to the love he had for family. His children, Mikaila and Edward, were his entire world. Sharing time with them, laughing and smiling, along with friends and family brought them many happy memories. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandpa, Leon Birmann.

Surviving are his fiancé Shyann Sweet and their two children: Mikaila and Edward; his parents: John and Heidi McIntyre; three brothers: Nick (Amber) McIntyre, Alex (Carlie) McIntyre, and Justin McIntyre; one niece: Allie McIntyre, and his grandparents: Don (Gerda) Mastenbrook, Ann Birmann, Marcia McIntyre, and John Roelof; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cremation has taken place. Visit with family and friends while sharing food and refreshments from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 7, at Betzler Life Story Funeral Home, 6080 Stadium Dr. Kalamazoo (269) 375-2900 where a prayer will be shared at 7 p.m.
