Patrick Neesley, 84, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Niles, died Sunday, March 3, 2019. He was born on April 24, 1934, in Jackson, Michigan, to Fred and Gertrude (Connolly) Neesley.
Patrick was a Navy veteran in the Korean conflict and received an honorable discharge in 1961.
He was a longtime business owner and insurance agent for Neesley-Derry Insurance Agency of Niles in which he retired from. He was a member of the Elks Club and loved golf and Notre Dame Football.
Patrick is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Neesley, his children Michael (Karen) Neesley, Cathy (Pat) Dowling and Kelly (Craig) Schau, a brother Bill Neelsey, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Gertrude Neesley and a sister Mary Kellow. Burial service took place on March 19, in Sarasota, Florida.
A celebration of life will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on June 29, at the Niles Elks Club on Canal Street.
