Roundup: Brandywine soccer edges Buchanan 2-1

NILES — Alyssa Adamczyk scored a pair of goals as host Brandywine edged arch rival Buchanan 2-1 in BCS Athletic Conference soccer Monday night.
All three goals in the contest were scored in the opening 40 minutes of play.
Brandywine outshot Buchanan 14-9 in the contest.
Goalkeeper Gabby Inman stopped nine shots for the Bobcats against the Bucks.
Abbey Patton had the lone goal for the Bucks.
Brandywine and Buchanan will compete in the VanDenBerg Invitational hosted by both the Bobcats and Niles Vikings Saturday.
Play begins at 10 a.m. at both Brandywine and Niles high schools.
Dowagiac soccer
DOWAGIAC — Ally Yesh scored the winning goal with less than 13 minutes remaining as host Sturgis edged Dowagiac 4-3 in Wolverine Conference action Monday.
Ally Landess had a pair of goals and an assist for Sturgis, which improved to 409 on the year.
Taylor Hopkins had the other goal for the Trojans.
Kellyn Daly, Kenya Lee and Martha Schaller had the goals for the Chieftains, who had 14 shots on goal.
Jenna Davis finished with 20 saves.
The Chieftains dropped to 4-6-3.
