Stokes wins Wolverine Conference 200 meter title

EDWARDSBURG — The Dowagiac boys and girls track teams both finished 10th at the Wolverine Conference Championships hosted by Edwardsburg Saturday.
Otsego won the boys conference title, while Vicksburg won the girls championship.
Host Edwardsburg finished eighth in the boys final standings and the girls finished sixth.
The Chieftains’ Jacob Stokes won the 200-meter conference championship with a time of 23.50.
Dowagiac’s Shawn Little finished second in the 3,200-meters with a time of 9:51.23 and fourth in the 1,600-meters with a time of 4:35.57.
Caitlyn Murphy was third in the long jump with a leap of 19-0.5,
Haydyn First had the top finish for a short-handed girls team as she was seventh in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 54.07.
