DOWAGIAC — Visiting Dowagiac was no match for the No. 6-ranked Allegan Tigers in a Wolverine Conference match Wednesday night.

The Tigers got four goals from Holly Curtis in a 7-0 win over the Chieftains.

Carlito Radke added a pair of goals. Also scoring for Allegan was Kaitlynn Fulton.

“Even though tonight wasn’t our night, the girl still fought really hard. I thought the girls did a nice job of staying together as a team and fighting until the end. That kind of effort is what we’re looking for in our young athletes.”

Dowagiac managed to get seven shots on goal against the Tigers, who are now 10-0-1 on the season.

Freshman goalkeeper Khloie Goins stopped 30 shots.

Niles was blanked by Lakeshore 8-0 in SMAC West action.
