BERRIEN COUNTY — The Blue Star Mothers Chapter 17 spent their Saturday packing holiday care boxes for soldiers.

The event took place at the Stevensville American Legion Post.

The Blue Star Mothers loaded the packages with Christmas stockings, hygiene items, non-perishable food, playing cards, calendars, pads of paper and Christmas cards created by children at Ruth Murdoch Elementary School. People who volunteered to help were also welcome to contribute monetary donations and their own items to contribute to the packages. (Submitted photos)
