NILES — Fernwood Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve will host a Holiday Market Preview Party from 3 to 6 p.m. Nov. 2.

Those who attend can enjoy food and drink with friends while browsing a blend of local artisans, specialty food vendors, growers of unique and artful plant material and more.

This fundraiser will feature more than 30 vendors, gift wrapping, wreath orders, a tree lighting, and live music in the Visitors Center and the new Education Center. A silent auction offer additional temptations during the event, and the evening features an exclusive opportunity to meet and shop with unique vendors.

In keeping with Fernwood’s tradition of creating wreaths for the holidays, shoppers also may place orders for wreaths to be picked up at their convenience. Live holiday music will be provided by Dean Ulrich.

Registration is now open for this event. Those interested can register online or by phone by Nov. 2. Tickets are $40 for one or $65 per couple.

Following the Preview Party, Fernwood will host a Holiday Market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.

Those who attend can browse and purchase unique jewelry, handmade kitchen items, one-of-a-kind ornaments and stuffed animals, pottery, hand-crafted baskets, lavender products and specialty plants, textiles, original art and cards, a vast assortment of unique food items, and much more at Fernwood’s annual Holiday Market.

Fernwood Botanical Garden was established in 1964, Fernwood is located on 105-acres of gardens, woodlands, ravines, marshes, restored prairie, and river frontage on the St. Joseph River in Buchanan Township.
