DOWAGIAC — Monday evening, Dowagiac Union High School art students participated in an exhibition night for their art project “Designed to Sell: Birdhouse Edition.” For the project, teams of students designed birdhouses that were meant to be both aesthically pleasing and inspired by a target species in the area. The houses were designed to be bought by local businesses to allow the community to appreciate students’ work and provide a habitat for birds downtown. All funds raised will be used to support and enhance the art program at DUHS.
