Cassopolis rolls to eighth win of season

MENDON — Visiting Cassopolis wasted little time in setting up Friday night’s Southwest 10 Conference showdown with Centreville for the football championship.
The Rangers rolled to a 44-6 win over Mendon last Friday night, while the Bulldogs routed Hartford 58-8.
Both teams enter Friday night’s contest at Centreville with perfect 8-0 records and 7-0 conference marks.
Against the Hornets last Friday night, the Rangers rolled up 300 yards of total offense, while limiting Mendon to just 104 yards.
Quarterback Dylan Green was again the rushing leader for the Rangers as he gained 95 yards on nine carries, while J.J. Hart added 62 yards and Owen Gardner 49 yards.
Green was 2-of-3 passing for 56 yards.
Green ended the night with three touchdowns, including a 75-yard run to open the scoring.
Hart and Gardner each had a touchdown for Cassopolis.
