CASSOPOLIS — The Cassopolis Police Department apprehended a male suspect on Monday night who was wanted by the Detroit Police Department and Harper Woods Police Department for attempted murder and armed robbery.

The suspect’s vehicle was located at S. East Street and Jefferson Street in Cassopolis at 10:58 p.m.

The male suspect was in the passenger side of the car and was taken into custody without incident. The female driver of the car was also arrested. A loaded .40 caliber rifle was located behind the male suspect.

The Cassopolis Police Department was assisted by the Cass County Sheriff Office, Dowagiac Police Department and the Detroit Police Department Homicide Division (Precinct 9).

The suspects’s name will be released after arraignment in Detroit.
