Cristian Wilson is a junior on the Dowagiac soccer team.
What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?
CW: One of my greatest accomplishments is making it to the regional final.
What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?
CW: One of my biggest disappointments is when I crashed my car and couldn’t play against Three Rivers.
Who is a “hero” in your life and why?
CW: My parents are heroes in my life, because they pushed me to my max potential.
When are you the most nervous while you are competing?
CW: I am most nervous when trying to finish the balls.
Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.
CW: Chipping my tooth in our invitational my sophomore year.
How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?
CW: Running and getting touches on the ball.
What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?
CW: Rugby.
Why are sports an important part of a high school experience?
CW: It helps with teamwork skills and is fun.
How would you give away $50,000?
CW: To a soccer charity in poor countries.
If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?
CW: Juventus F.C.
If I did not play sports, I would…?
CW: Continue getting good grades in school.
What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?
CW: The most challenging thing for me is being patient.
If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?
CW: Off-sides.
What is the best compliment you have ever received?
CW: I have leadership potential.
What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?
CW: Taking penalty kicks, yes.
What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?
CW: Cole (Parker) eating a worm.
What is your favorite hobby? Why?
CW: Video games, because it relaxes me.
