EDWARDSBURG — The Edwardsburg Sports Complex will host its fourth concert in the Concert on the Lawn Series from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22.

The featured artist is homegrown singer Emilee Allan. Born and raised in Edwardsburg, the black-haired brown eyed musician has come a long way from the stages of southwest Michigan.

Working with renowned Nashville industry veterans such as acclaimed producer Kent Wells and songwriters like Preston Brust and Karen Staley, she has set herself up for success. The first single off the self-titled album “Emilee Allan” is “Crazy Ride.” This is one of her first songs she completely wrote and thought it would be great to show her talent as a songwriter also.

Sports complex officials say Emilee Allan, in person, is “kind of soft-spoken but with a sense of confidence.” She loves to perform, and it shows.

Attendees can bring their picnic blankets, chairs, snacks and beverages when they come to listen some live music with their friends and family. The cost of the event is $10 per car. Proceeds will go to the development of the sports complex.
