SOUTH BEND —  The Roars and Pours series at the Potawatomi Zoo continues from 3 to 6 p.m. Sept. 22, with a special brew event for adults 21 and over. Tickets are $30 and go on sale Sept. 1.

For Brew Night, Round Barn Brewery/Winery will be joined by a few other specialty breweries like Evil Czech, Firestone Walker, Bell’s Brewery, Saugatuck Brewing, Tapistry, Metazoa, Blake’s Hard Cider, Ace Craft Ciders and more for an intimate sampling event. Guests will receive a 4-ounce tasting mug for unlimited tastings at the participating breweries. A variety of full-size beverages will also be available for purchase at the Round Barn Bar and Otter Cabin.

“Although we’re proud of the success we had in past years with Zoo Brew, we shifted our after-hours event focus to the Roars and Pours series this year,” said Marcy Dean, executive director of the Potawatomi Zoo. “Having a series of events gives more people the opportunity to visit the zoo later in the day. After three great family nights, we’re looking forward to the different atmosphere of an adult-only brew event.”

Guests are welcome to tour the zoo or listen to The Jerry O’Fonics Band play in the picnic grove. Dinner and snacks will be available from vendors including Lawney’s BBQ food truck and the Congo Café. A pop-up gift shop with T-shirts and full-size mugs to purchase will be set up by the Learning Center.
