VICKSBURG — The Dowagiac JV football team opened up its 2018 season with a 24-20 victory over host Vicksburg last Wednesday.

Lavarius Davis scored three touchdowns for the Chieftains, while Buddha Barnes added a 60-yard touchdown reception from Brendan Lazano.

Roman Saldana had an interception to lead the defense.

Dowagiac hosts Three Rivers at Chris Taylor-Alumni Field Wednesday.
