Photo story: Five teams compete in annual dragon boat competition

NILES — Five teams of dragon boat racers put their muscles to the test Saturday as the tradition continued on the St. Joseph River. Donning matching T-shirts and chanting team messages, the teams, which included as many as 20 participants, took to the water to vie for the title win.

After three heats of races, Dr. Redington’s Complete Chiropractic team  (photographed wearing black T-shirts) took home the prize. Lakeland Health’s team took second place, Dr. Kyle McGill’s Niles Dental team took third, the Blue Dragons of Inter-Care took fourth and World Dragons took fifth.
