NILES — Splashes of color will be seen along the St. Joseph River when the Niles DDA Main Street hosts its lighted Bridge Bash Dash 5K Run Aug. 10.

Registration for the Bridge Bash is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Riverfront Park.

The 5K run, which begins at the north end of the park and ends at the volleyball courts, begins at 8:45 p.m. The fun run, which starts next to the amphitheater, begins at 8:55 p.m.

Runners will get lit up with shoelaces and glow sticks. Free water is also available.

Chip timing will be provided by Chris Pawelski from Inertia Cycleworks.

Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in seven age groups immediately following the race.
