NILES — As Berrien County youth gear up for the annual fair in August, the Berrien County 4-H organization is offering a workshop to help them make the most out of fair week.
The Berrien County 4-H program will host SOLD!! Making the Most out of your Market Animal Project workshop, which designed to assist youth with getting ready for their local market animal auction. The program will help participants grow the potential profit of their 4-H market animal projects through a variety of marketing and communication strategies that will give them a leg up on the competition.
Youth will learn how to create a buyer’s letter, the seven steps to creating a good thank-you, and how to avoid a communication catastrophe. This workshop is open to youth ages 9 to 19. There is no cost to the workshop. Resources and materials will be provided.
The workshop will be offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, at the Niles District Library.
