NILES — The Greater Niles Chamber of Commerce will host its annual fireworks display at approximately 9:40 p.m. tonight at the Four Flags Apple Festival Grounds, with the help from community sponsors as well as event sponsor, The City of Niles.

For more than 30 years, the local community has joined the City of Niles and the Greater Niles Chamber of Commerce in celebrating the nation’s Independence Day. Chamber leaders say the annual fireworks display has become a huge success, averaging approximately 6,000 attendees each year.

Gates will open to the public at 6 p.m. A $5 donation for parking is encouraged and the first 1,000 cars will receive a small American flag. Red, white, and blue glow necklaces and bracelets will also be available to purchase for $1 at the gates.

The Four Flags Area Apple Festival will be selling concessions including cotton candy, hot dogs, chips and beverages will be available prior to the show. An elephant ear vendor will also be on site for the event.
