Dowagiac graduate receives Honor Credit Union Scholarship

BERRIEN SPRINGS — Several southwest Michigan students have received a scholarship from a local credit union.

Honor Credit Union is proud to support local outstanding high school seniors with the annual Honor Credit Union Foundation Community Commitment Scholarship, officials said. Thirteen students throughout Michigan received $1,500 to be used towards furthering their education. Reinforcing Honor Credit Union’s dedication to supporting the local community, an emphasis on community involvement and extracurricular activities was part of the Community Commitment Scholarship application, said officials. The following students received the scholarship:

• Imani Lee — Dream Academy at Benton Harbor High School

• Jaylen Vinson — Benton Harbor High School

• Mallory Spaulding — Coloma High School

• Justin Lyle — Dowagiac High School

• Autumn Guffey — Gull Lake High School

• Isaac Redlon — Gwinn High School

• Ashley Anderson—Traverse City Central High School

• Roman Menhart — Homeschool, Otsego

• Clara Johnson — Negaunee High School

• Anthony Reo —  Paw Paw High School

• Gabriella Hard — St. Joseph High School

• Anna LaSata — Lake Michigan Catholic High School

• Madeline Newland — St. Joseph High School
