NILES — Buchanan and Brandywine combined to place seven players on the Division 3 All-District baseball team.

All-district is the first step in the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State process.

Earning all-district honors for the Bucks were catcher Dedrick Adkerson, outfielders Brandon Rogers and Kade Hearington, as well as pitcher Jacob Hoover.

Brandywine’s representatives were infielder Joe Covyeou, outfielder Connor Janowiak and pitcher Ty Mickiewicz.

Cassopolis had a pair of players named to the squad in infielder Dylan Green and pitcher Xander Smith.

Buchanan’s Lonnie Hoover was named Coach of the Year.
