NILES — The Niles-Buchanan Branch of the YMCA of Southwest Michigan hosted its annual Day in the Park event Saturday. The family-friendly, free event focused on showcasing the Y’s fitness programs to encourage a healthy and fun lifestyle.

During Day in the Park, people could try out fitness class demos, enjoy a grilled chicken lunch, smoothies, a bounce house, water slide, carnival games, a petting zoo, face painting and more.

This year, Day in the Park was made possible through partnerships with the Niles Pregnancy Care Center and the Salvation Army. (Submitted photos)
