EDWARDSBURG — American Legion Post 365 honored four high school seniors with $500 scholarships each on June 7. The awards were given at a small ceremony at the Legion Hall. Families and friends were present. Cake and ice cream after ceremony.

The Legionnaires, the SAL, the Ladies Auxiliary and the Riders each made presentations of $500 each to assist with furthering education.

Presentations made every year after reviewing submitted applications.

The scholarship recipients were as follows:

• Brandon Strickland — scholarship from SAL — engineering

• Rayven Jarvis — Ladies Auxiliary — plans to be an ER doctor

• Makayla Metcalf — Legionnaire — plans to be a special education teacher

• Jasmine Sindelar — Riders — plans to be a pediatrician
