Dowagiac finishes 10th in Wolverine Conference

ALLEGAN — Dowagiac finished 10th in both the boys and girls portion of the Wolverine Conference track meet, which finally concluded Tuesday.
The meet was postponed due to weather May 11.
Otsego won both the boys and girls championships.
Edwardsburg was runner-up in the girls portion of the meet, while the Eddies were fourth in the boys portion.
Dowagiac’s Tania Wilson finished second in the 100-meters with a time of 13.17.
Tamia Rimpson was fourth in the 200-meters with a time of 27.66.
The Chieftains’ Jacob Stokes placed fifth in the 200-meters with clocking of 24.15. He was also fifth in the 400-meters with a time of 53.83.
Shawn Little placed second in the 3,200- and fourth in the 1,600-meters with times of 9:57.24 and 4:36.46 respectively.
The Chieftains’ 1,600- and 3,200-meter relay teams both finished fifth.
Louis Barnes, Stokes, Andrew McIntosh and Cailyn Murphy ran a time of 3:44.79 in the 1,600, while Little, McIntosh, Cole Parker and Egar Bravo ran 9:29.60 in the 3,200.
Southwest 10
BANGOR — Cassopolis’ Amy Adams won the 800-, 1,600- and was the runner-up in the 3,200-meters at the Southwest 10 Conference meet.
Sophie Fiala captured both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles.
