THREE OAKS — The Dowagiac softball and teams will compete in the River Valley Baseball/Softball Classic on Saturday.

The softball tournament, which also includes Constantine, Decatur, Frankfort, Hartford, Kalamazoo Christian, New Prairie and Watervliet, is scheduled to begin with pool play at 9 a.m.

The Chieftains will open play with Hartford before taking on New Prairie in the second game.

The consolation game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. and the championship game at 4:15 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person.

Baseball

Constantine, Dowagiac, Saugatuck and host River Valley will compete in the baseball tournament, which is also scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.

River Valley will face Constantine in the first game, while Dowagiac will take on Saugatuck in the second game, slated to begin at approximately 10:45 a.m.

The consolation game will be played at 12:30 p.m. and the championship game at 2:15 p.m.
