CASS COUNTY — Last Thursday, Central Cass Firefighters took advantage of the warm weather and decided to have some fun on the playground. Rather than playing hide-and-go-seek, these firefighters were preparing to save lives.

According to the fire department’s Facebook page, the jungle gym at Clisbee Park in Cassopolis is the perfect place to practice. It replicates the tight places, stairs and hidden obstacles of a house.

The fire department also emphasized that no children were kicked off playground equipment during this training session and that the department does not participate in bullying. Instead, children were given a front row seat to firefighters in action and got to play with fire truck equipment.
